Yes we require you to book into all of your classes with us at D-F Studio. Please book in via the app or website.

If you are brand new to yoga, please know there are no expectations, you will feel comfortable in this space alongside others practising beginner style yoga. We recommend trying our Restorative, Yin and Slow Flow classes to ignite your yoga path.

Due to the nature of Yoga and Pilates the beginning of a class is an important aspect of you practice as it sets up the way you move throughout the class. We ask that you please arrive at a minimum 5 minutes before class so that you have time to set up and not disturb your fellow yogi’s. Please note we lock our studio door during class to secure all belongings.  If you are late, you will not be able to practice.

We are passionate about beginners! We all need to start somewhere we too have been there. Practice a few times a week and we will progress your practice so you can feel how good it feels to be flexible, stronger more mindful and body aware!

Take a lighthearted approach and enjoy yourself. We recommend booking into Yin, Restorative or Slow Flow – click here to read more about our class styles to pick the right class for you.

We hear this all too often. Yes! You can most definitely do yoga. It is a bit like thinking you need to be able to surf before you have surf lessons. Come exactly as you are and you will find in a short time with consistency you will become more flexible. All of our teachers are highly trained and will offer variations to poses and there to support you in any way they can.

We recommend you join our Monday evening beginner class for your very first beginner experience. Elise Griffin

Vinyasa | Strength + Soul

With over 17 years of personal yoga practice and a strong background in the fitness and wellness industry, Elise brings a depth of experience, intelligence, and embodied understanding to her teaching. With a Bachelor’s degree in Sport & Exercise Science and more than a decade working as a personal trainer, group fitness instructor, and movement coach, Elise bridges the gap between strength, mobility, and mindful movement.

Elise discovered yoga as a powerful complement to her athletic training, and over time it became a central pillar in how she moves, lives, and connects. Her approach is informed by both science and lived experience, blending functional strength, breath awareness, and fluid sequencing. Her classes invite students to feel strong, capable, and supported – meeting their edge with curiosity rather than force.

Elise is deeply passionate about the way yoga supports not only physical health, but nervous system regulation, emotional resilience, and connection. Her classes offer a space that encourages students to build trust in their bodies and confidence in their practice.

Above all, Elise is committed to creating a welcoming environment where students can deepen their relationship with movement and carry the benefits of their practice beyond the mat and into everyday life.
