Vinyasa Yoga Classes

ABOUT VINYASA YOGA with d-f studio

This is a dynamic practice linking breath and movement through a creative series of postures (asana). With a strong emphasis on alignment, allowing time to explore and experience each movement while cultivating strength and build heat within the internal body.

With the aim to be physically and mentally inspiring, our vinyasa carefully sets you up for stronger peak poses with the possibility of including arm balances. Each teacher in our Brookvale studio will creatively curate a class that will keep you on your toes making this practice fun, engaging and rewarding.

What are the benefits of Vinyasa Yoga?

The Vinyasa class will revitalise your system while moving static energy through your body. If you wish to feel challenged, create internal fire while still being able to breath organically between each pose and rest as needed, moderate flow may be your ideal class style.

Moderate flow is a great transition from foundational beginner yoga and are ready to deepen your practice by gaining further strength, mobility and mindfulness.

A good tip for this class is to come without any expectations on yourself and be light in your approach. No practice will ever be the same!

Is Vinyasa Yoga right for me?

This class is suitable for all levels of experience, strength and flexibility with the teachers providing variations and modifications of the poses. Be willing to be challenged physically and mentally. This class is good for someone that wants to progress their practice into something stronger, creative and dynamic.

If you have never practiced before we suggest you either start with the Beginner class or alternatively feel free to contact us and we can direct you to the right classes.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT FROM A VINYASA YOGA CLASS WITH d-f studio?

Immerse yourself in one hour of meditative warm up, dynamic flow, balancing series, spinal strength and conditioning and a slow warm down.

This class will challenge both your mind and body, lending self inquiry to your practice throughout the flow and meditation at the end. This practice is offered with music and can also include props.

Eliza Hayward

Eliza’s journey of self-discovery and personal growth began as a curious teenage student where accessing yoga and meditation was part of her ritual.

Her classes are deeply rooted in accessing the physical and energetic systems of the body to awaken the intelligence within.  For Eliza following the yogic path is a joyous journey which has brightened her desire to create her own studio.

Eliza finds that yoga is a wonderful vehicle to gather community and share expression and celebrate this life changing practice with those who also seek and are curious about enhancing their lives.

Eliza is an influential yoga and meditation teacher, empowerment coach and retreat host. She is renowned for her passion and joy while honouring the practices of yoga which overflows into the community.

She exudes warmth and loves connecting with her fellow students. Eliza’s classes hold space to integrate all parts of yourself together.

Olivia Kerr

Olly is an energetic fountain of positivity and enthusiasm, traits she brings to every class.

Her yoga journey started a couple of years ago as a way to counterbalance her love of running and athletics. Since experiencing the mind/body benefits of the practice, yoga has become one of Olly’s greatest passions.

Her personal practice is focused towards distilling her natural energy into breath, movement and flow, finding a space within that allows for growth.

She is a student of Chiropractic Science and loves applying her knowledge of anatomy into creative flows.

Olly brings a steadiness to her teaching with attention to alignment and strong, slow poses while encouraging movement that feels good!

Tash Talevski

Tash comes from an experienced background in Personal Training, with a depth of anatomical knowledge. Submerged in the world of health and fitness from a young age, she quickly developed a love and fascination of the human vessel.

Movement through space, with awareness on breath, became profound and necessary tools in her journey toward self-exploration and transformation. In her quest to deepen this inner exploration, Tash eventually found herself living in Mexico at the Hridaya Yoga Centre. Here, immersed in a yogic lifestyle and the traditional Hatha teachings, was the start of her ongoing yoga journey. She has since completed multiple trainings, taught in retreats overseas and continues to inquire with awe into the nature of the human organism.

Tash believes much of our “knowing” has been limited to the brain alone, where many aspects of ourselves cannot be truly met. She draws from her coaching background, in-depth anatomical knowledge and diverse movement education, to guide her students through an integrated practice of conscious anatomical and energetic explorations in order to deepen the Mind-Body experience.

She views each movement practice as a portal for conscious connection with our self and the world around us, and aims to inspire in her students a curiosity of the self – to feel, taste and honour each breath, and subtle bodily sensation as a gateway into revelation.
